Mundan needs a pandit and a barber, Naamkaran a pandit and samagri, Annaprashan a pandit and the thali. These are modest on their own, and the difference between them is small compared with what you add around the ceremony.
Prasad and sweets for close family cost little. A meal for thirty to eighty guests is the largest part of the package, and the menu and guest count move it far more than the ritual ever does.
A backdrop with the baby's name, flowers or balloons make for lovely pictures and add to the quote. A simple floral touch at the pooja corner keeps it modest, and family phone photos are often enough.
