Small Party Catering at Home in Lucknow

Tell the caterer how big your kitchen is, whether they can use it for warming and plating, and where the buffet table will stand. In a flat, one table along a wall and a small serving area in the kitchen usually work better than counters in the drawing room.

An evening get-together often needs only platters and tea, or a hi-tea spread. A lunch or dinner needs a proper buffet. A golgappa or tikki stall on the terrace or the lawn can turn a small birthday into an occasion without a full menu.

Apartment societies may have rules on deliveries, parking, noise and the use of common areas. Check before you book a stall on the terrace or the clubhouse lawn, and share gate and parking details with the caterer in advance.

Ask whether staff will clear plates, take away used crockery and leftovers, and leave the kitchen as they found it. A clear arrangement saves an evening of washing up after the last guest has gone home.
